      MILLER, EMMA CATHERINE (Age 92)
      On Sunday, September 22, 2002. She was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a Washington, DC area resident since 1943. At the time of her death, she lived in Gaithersburg, MD. Ms. Miller was a 40 year member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church, where she sand in the choir for many years. In addition, she was a volunteer for the American Red Cross serving for over 30 years at the U.S. Soldiers and Airman's Home in Washington, DC and was active in Democratic Party Politics. Both of her husbands, predeceased her, Ernest Poyser in 1971 and Clement K. Miller in 2001. A son, Ernest Poyser of Island Heights, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Poole of Newton, PA and Mary P. Hudkins of Salem, IN; brother-in-law, Louise J. Miller of Arlington, Va and many nieces and nephews, survive her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 630 E St., S.W., Washington, DC 20024 on Tuesday, October 22 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery. A reception will follow at Ft. Myers Officers Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Resident's Fund at the U.S. Soldiers and Airmen's Home, 3700 North Capitol St., N.W., Washington, DC 20317.
